Our Kettelhack Team

Our greatest asset: is not only first-class products and decades of expertise. But above all, the people who support and carry this company forward with toil and dedication.

Not only do we want to be a high-performance company, we also want to be an attractive employer.

To enable participation, to invite everyone to think and play a role in shaping things! Because achieving top performance, tapping potential and developing creating solutions takes more than knowledge and skills. A good working atmosphere is important to us – for this reason, new colleagues are always assigned a mentor. This facilitates familiarisation and integration into the new working environment.

“It’s a loveley feeling to experience so much trust every day. Here I am seen as a human being.”

Contributing, participating, shaping!

Only satisfied employees put their heart and soul into their work. The key to this treasure: Trust, freedom – and sustainable appreciation.

Whether formal co-determination by our works council or issue-related working groups: It is important to us that our employees are actively involved in the company.

We have abolished the typical company meeting!

When we meet for discussions these should be shaped by a dialogue instead of monologues. So speech is not reserved for the management team to inform everyone else about new developments. Employees can also report on projects that they have collaborated on. We also like to invite experts. With lectures, for example, on nutrition or health at work, they have already provided us with many exciting food for thought.

Coming to work with a smile in the morning – and leaving with a smile in the evening …

The Smiley project group is committed to this belief. The participants change with each completed project. Employees decide themselves whether they should join. One successfully implemented project and a real asset for all fresh air lovers is the green break area on the company premises. The idea and organisation of a company party also came entirely from a Project Smiley group.

All employees who still have their 30th birthday ahead of them are invited to regularly exchange ideas and network in this group. The aim of the get-together is to develop suggestions that will sustainably enrich our sense of togetherness. This has resulted, for example, in the programme entitled “And what do you do?”. This involves employees swapping places for a day and familiarising themselves with other company divisions.

Employee representative, contact person for all cases and involved in many areas: The five members of our elected works council have an open ear for all colleagues! At the company level, the works council is involved in all essential areas.

Communication
“A lecture on the topic of trust or a taster session of Tai Chi in our dispatch hall: We invite a wide variety of experts for our “Treffpunkt Dialog”.

Heading into a Good Tomorrow, together!

The interaction between the Smiley and Sustainability Ambassador project groups led to a great synergy effect in 2018: The sustainability ambassadors proposed the abolition of disposable coffee cups, which had been common in many areas of the company up to that point. At the same time, the Smiley project group developed the idea of renovating the outdated break rooms. The result is impressive: Aesthetically pleasing break rooms with a modern look, where fully automatic coffee machines with porcelain coffee cups and carbonated water taps are available to all staff and visitors.

“Among the 29 new colleagues since 2017, we were pleased to welcome 12 young trainees who started their apprenticeship with us.”

Flexible working time models

In a constantly changing world of work, flexible working models such as flexitime and working from home are indispensable. We consistently implement these modern approaches. Depending on their position, employees can adapt their working hours to suit their individual needs. By working from home, we are also making the working day more environmentally friendly by reducing commuting times.

Development of water consumption in m3

The high level of water consumption in production brings with it a corresponding volume of waste water. Compliance with the limit values from the Waste Water Ordinance is ensured by the indirect discharge permit. The daily control of the mixing and equalisation basin by our employees, as well as through the regular inspections by the responsible monitoring authorities, give us the necessary security.
