For all those who regularly work several hours a day at a computer screen or have other special visual requirements at their workplace, there was a new offer at the beginning of the year as part of our workplace health promotion programme. In an online impulse lecture, the almost 50 participants were made aware of the visual requirements at the workplace. In addition to theoretical knowledge about the visual process and possible visual disorders, it was also about getting to know one’s own eyes better and setting up the workplace “eye-friendly”. Based on this, there were training sessions for all those interested with exercises for eye relaxation and further tips for everyday work. After a professional assessment of various workplaces with regard to lighting, viewing distances, disruptive factors and ergonomics, some potential for optimisation was immediately uncovered.
